In General Dons census 1815 listed as a sailor living with one woman, two boys and a girl.
In 1806 Charles was listed as a P.O.W. in France.
In edition 12 Feb. 1808 of the Gazette de L'isle de Jersey(Mourants) a list of POW's gives the amount of money voted or awarded by the States to each prisoner. Ch du Feu is listed as resident of Arras in eastern France.
Family tradition says that Charles married catherine from either France or Germany after she had help him escape from being French POW. His first two sons were born away from the Island in Zaaland on the French / German boarder and in Prussia, the exact location unknown, but an area of varing size and boarders especially in the early 19th centery, see notes on Catherine Muaux.
Living at 29 le Geyt Street, St.Helier, Jersey in 1871. Died age 84, a mariner, see le Cronique.
